Community matters. In 2015, Dino’s Modern Barbershop started a fundraiser during Celebrate Wallingford to show their appreciation to the men and women of the WPD & WFD for their service and their selfless commitment to keeping Wallingford safe! They set up donation boxes in their shop and came together with other great Wallingford businesses to contribute.
Each year the departments put the donations to good work. The fire department has used the donations for their smoke detector program which installs smoke detectors at the homes of Wallingford residents. The police department has used the donations for many things including the K9 program, their bicycle program, and other equipment to help keep Wallingford safe
We look forward to doing it again next year! money without the generosity of local businesses and their generous customers. This year, the fundraiser raised $1000.00 per department with contributions from the following.
