Calcagni Associates President, Steve Calcagni, is proud to announce that REALTOR Krisanne Rivera has been awarded the Certified Short Sale Negotiator (CSSN) designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute, a leader in negotiation training and coaching, serving real estate professionals across the United States.

Krisanne earned the CSSN designation by completing an intensive course, which focuses on the short sale process and the different negotiations necessary to successfully close a short sale. Unlike normal real estate transactions, a short sale requires particular care and additional work to be completed smoothly and, if done improperly, may cause the homeowner to go into foreclosure.

Armed with the CSSN designation and an increased awareness of the principles of short sales, real estate professionals such as Krisanne are immediately able to better serve their current and prospective home sellers that may need to short sale their home. “This knowledge sets agents who have attained the CSSN apart from their peers, because it gives them the tools to assess a homeowner’s situation and properly guide them and the buyer of the property through all the necessary processes required to short sale a home”, commented Steve Calcagni.  A CSSN will be able to help the owner prepare the required documentation, navigate through the mortgage framework and keep the homeowner’s property from being foreclosed upon.

Krisanne works in Calcagni Associates’ Hamden office located at 2620 Whitney Avenue and may be reached by calling 203-288-1821 Ext. 492 or by visiting www.calcagni.com/krisannerivera
