Personal Background:

I grew up in Medellin, Colombia, but I have lived in Connecticut for over 20 years.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the National Colombia University

What do you love most about your town or a particular area in CT?

When we were looking for our home we wanted an area with a good education system, and we first fell in love with Wallingford for its highly rated schools. Wallingford electric is such a great bonus. Wallingford also has an amazing downtown area that I love to visit. I just love everything about Wallingford!

What is your favorite thing to do in your downtime?

I love going for ice cream, Sweet Creams in Wallingford is my favorite local ice cream place. I love visiting the library as well to find a new book to read. Some of my favorite books to read are about urban development and the environment. I love walking, my best friend and I did the pilgrim called the Compostela Way and walked the distance from Portugal to Santiago of Compostela Spain last summer!

Are there any talents you wished you had or talents you have and would like to share?

Because of my background in animal science, I have lots of knowledge about animals in special farm animals.

Where is your happy place?

I love the beach. I am always happy to be near a beach!

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

Growing up in Colombia!

What would someone be surprised to learn about you?

I’m very athletic and I represented my state on a national level in diving competitions during my youth.
