About Angela DeMonte

What is your background, and why did you decide to get into Real Estate?

After bartending for 10 years, I wanted to take the people skills I learned and apply them to something more stable for a long-term career. I come from a family of independent contractors; my aunt was a real estate agent for years, and she always told me I should get my license. I finally decided to listen to her advice!

Why did you choose Calcagni?

I had known Calcagni agent Bridie Bradbury, and when she found out I was getting my license, she introduced me to the wonderful people at Calcagni. I instantly knew this would be the place for me. Everyone was so welcoming and kind!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Southington and have lived in Meriden for many years.

What do you love most about your town or a particular area in CT?

I love Connecticut! It is an amazing central location with beaches, cities, and big travel destinations so close by. Every time I travel elsewhere I think about what it would be like to live there, but Connecticut always beats them in the end!

What is your favorite thing to do in your downtime?

I love to be active. I love going to the gym, and I’m on a volleyball team with my sister! Spending time with friends and family is so important to me, and it’s even better when I get to combine the things I love!

Where is your happy place, or what is it?

I’m a homebody. I love being at home and with my family!

Talent you have or talent you’d like to have?

I wish was musical! It would be so cool to learn to play the piano.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m 1 of 5 kids! I love being part of a big family! If you’re wondering, I’m kid #4, which makes me the second-youngest.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

Getting to help my Aunt set up her holiday gift baskets for her real estate clients! Helping her with Real Estate things made me feel so grown-up and important.
