I’d have to say that to me family is most important. My wife, two daughters and two sons are the center of my world. The girls are mostly grown up now, but we keep the boy’s bedroom ready for when they’re home from college, on breaks.
I enjoy time with my wife and children. I always try to keep dinner time open because I believe there’s great value in a traditional family dinner where we can relax together and enjoy a homecooked meal while staying connected to each other in our daily life.
I enjoy family ski trips in the winter and watching baseball games in summer. I’ve been a Boston Red Sox fan since I was a boy, so I never miss a game or at least the highlights. I love the excitement of the Yankees rivalry and many of my friends are life-long Yankee fans. It’s all great fun! I also enjoy playing in the Southington Senior Softball League. We have some pretty competitive players and we really enjoy ourselves like kids in Little League for a couple of hours a week.
I love yard work because it’s great exercise and keeps me fit. I enjoy taking day hikes with my sons when they’re home from college. I like cooking with my wife, a great way to spend quality time together. I also enjoy making home beers and wines. I find great satisfaction when opening a select bottle with one of our hot, home-cooked meals.
I like that we get to enjoy four distinct seasons and the close proximity to great local cities. I also enjoy the wonderful diversity of cultures and ethnic foods. Connecticut really is a melting pot of people and places.
That’s a no-brainer. I love nothing more than a fresh, local, hot, oven-baked pizza, loaded with toppings and cold pint on the side to wash it down. Friday nights are often family pizza night. It’s nice once in a while to order delivery from one of our favorite local pizza restaurants then sit down together for a delicious feast on a great slice of that heavenly pie!
