How long have you lived in Connecticut?

41 years (Life Long)

What are some of your hobbies, interests, organizations, teams, causes?

Hanging out with my wife, our four children, our dog, and cat. Playing softball, soccer, cycling, running, volunteering with Special Olympics CT floor hockey and working out. Big Red Sox and NY Giants fan.

What is your background (professional or otherwise) and why did you choose to get into real estate?

I am the founder and marketing and public relations manager of the non-profit, The Marilyn T. Krom Foundation which hosts an annual 5k run raises money for families who have loved ones battling cancer, an avid volunteer for Special Olympics Connecticut, and Chair on the board of directors for my daughters preschool. I was also a Technical Support Manager in an Information Technology firm, and was a small-business owner.

I ended up in real estate after leaving my career in Information Technology to be a stay at home father while my wife pursued advancements in her career. Real estate began more as a hobby for me but rapidly transformed into a full time career.

Why did you choose Calcagni?

I chose Calcagni because of Antonella Vertucci. Antonella was the co-broke on one of my first listings and she was so helpful to me during the process. At the time, she was with another broker but raved about Calcagni. So once the Guilford office opened and she told me she was switching back to Calcagni, it sparked my interest to switch myself and work side by side with her. The rest is history. Joel was pretty great too and was very helpful in convincing me to switch.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I just wanted to share how great everyone has been so far in my first few weeks. It has been a very positive experience and I look forward to what the future brings.
