About Eric Grgurich

How long have you lived in CT?

I grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey, and have lived in Connecticut since 2006.

What do you love most about your town?

I live in Guilford and there are so many things I love about this town! I love the history of the town, along with the town green, and I love that the neighborhoods have a great sense of camaraderie.

What do you like to do in your downtime?

Believe it or not, I love to do yard work – especially mowing the lawn. Watching my kids play hockey and baseball is fun too, but mowing the lawn is my time to enjoy a little peace & quiet over the roar of the lawnmower.

What is a little-known fact about yourself?

I have an extensive history of working in the sports world. This has led me to have many surprising “fun facts”. I have drunk from the actual Stanley Cup, and I have thrown the first pitch in a professional baseball game.

What is a talent you wish you had?

I wish I was a better cook! Cooking is quite the talent, but I just don’t have it. Gordon Ramsey would probably hate me.

What makes you happy?

Family time is so important to me and it’s what makes me the happiest. I love spending time with my family. We travel down the shore to New Jersey in the summer and it is always great.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

I have fond memories of playing sports and making friends with my teammates. I played baseball, hockey, and football as a kid!

What is your best quality or greatest strength?

I would say my best quality is patience. It is a very good quality to have and comes in handy in many different aspects of life.
