How long have you lived in Connecticut?

I was born and raised in North Haven, Ct. I have lived here for most of my 34 years, aside from a few small relocations throughout the years. I spent four years in New Hampshire while attending Keene State College. Right out of college I moved over to Norwalk, CT where I tended bar and worked for a small brokerage firm out of New Canaan. After about a year there, I moved back to the area and resided in Wallingford for about 6 years. After all was said and done I came back to my hometown and currently live there now.

What is your favorite local spot?

I absolutely LOVE enjoying outside spots along with tasting different types of wine, so ultimately Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford is one of my favorites! I also have a new favorite hangout which is Shell and Bones on Long Wharf. This place is classic for outside dining and the food is amazing as well!

What is your favorite time of year?

Although I am not a huge Winter fan, Christmas is ultimately my favorite time of year! I probably can go my whole life without seeing snow again and be okay with that, however I do love a nice White Christmas!

What makes you happy?

I am a HUGE animal lover! Cats, Dogs, Bunnies, you name it I love it! I wish I had all the money in the world just to take care of all the sick and homeless animals out there!

What is your favorite child memory?

Going to Yankee games with my father! I loved everything about it. The excitement on the way to the stadium, the smell of the hot dogs on the streets (crazy I know), my father quizzing me on every player’s name, their stats, and position they play.

Why did you choose Calcagni?

They are a very reputable company and were on my top list of places I wanted to possibly work for. I ended up choosing them because the moment I walked in the door I felt very comfortable, with the place, the people who work there and the manager. That was one of the most important things to me, the comfort level.
