I started working in real estate way back in 1978! I’ve seen all types of market changes and each change has presented its own set of challenges. The ability to change with the times has made me a survivor in this business. I enjoy meeting new people and I especially love working with the first time buyers! (Many of my first time buyers went on to become my second and third time buyers too!)
I always thought I would love to be a tour guide. I love travel and history. My first work experience was giving tours of a Coca-Cola plant. I loved explaining how the Coke was first invented and how it ended up being the classic drink. I’m still giving tours, but now it is of homes!
My favorite hero is Mel Fisher. I’m not sure how many people have heard of him but he is very famous in the Florida Keys. He was a farmer from Indiana (I’m a Hoosier too!) He searched the Keys for seventeen years and finally found the largest treasure ever found to this date, worth millions. I met him several times and loved his optimism. Part of the fun of finding treasure is the hunt itself. A philosophy that lends itself nicely to real estate...I will always try to make your search for the perfect home fun too!
It probably won’t come as much of a surprise to you that my favorite vacation spot is Key West if you just read my tidbit about Mel Fisher. (See “My Favorite Hero) I love the weather and the beaches but most of all I love the beautiful homes. They have a way of drawing me back time after time. I have had the pleasure of staying in several of them and thoroughly enjoy all of their differences.
Of course I love to travel, but my real love is my two dogs. They pretty much take up any spare time I might have but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I consider them my personal trainers. They have me up and walking every morning and evening.
Clark is my maiden name. I’m directly descended from the Clark, as in Lewis and Clark—hence the love for travel!
